Yachatz

First, check out the video below to learn more about Yachatz.
Then follow the prompts to complete your turn!

To Complete Your Turn:

Note: If you are playing in teams, each person on the team must do this activity.

Choose one of the following areas of your life that could use a little more time, energy, attention, or… feels a little broken (like our matzah at Yachatz). Then choose an item that represents that area of your life.

Collect 3 points for choosing a domain and finding an item that represents it.

Life Domains:

  • Spirituality

  • Intellectual Curiosity

  • Social Life

  • Emotional Wellbeing

  • Work Balance

  • Physical Body

Now, you have an opportunity to share why you chose that item with the friends you’re playing with. If you need some inspiration, check out the examples in the video, or written out below.

Collect an additional 3 points if you chose to share your item with your friends.

“I chose this yoga mat representing my physical body. When I stretch and work out I always feel good and it’s always the first to go to the bottom of my priority list when there are other things to do. Definitely a part of my life that could use some repair.”

“I chose this coffee cup representing my work balance. I drink from it every morning to start my work day and then the work day never seems to end, and often feels unsustainable. Absolutely a domain of my life that needs some recalibration.”

Let’s give props to where props are due! The domains of this activity are inspired by Michael Hyatt, and his book Your Best Year.
